Happy New Year and welcome back to Year One! Our new topic this term will be 'Castles and Knights'. Before we fully immerse ourselves into our new topic, we will explore the story of the Prince and the Pauper, in preparation for our theatre visit. 

There are 25 children in class one. Our teacher is Miss Townley and Mrs. Barlow and Mrs Burdock help us each morning. We do some fabulous art work on Tuesday afternoons when Mrs. Ewer teaches us. Mrs Heathcote will also spend two afternoons helping us this year.
 
This term our topic is "Castles and Knights"  (please see topic web in files). We will be learning all about Castles, Knights and dragons. Our topic this term will lead us to learn all about events and significant people from the past.
