Perimeter in the playground!

Date: 13th Feb 2017 @ 5:02pm

9.2.17

Today we went out on to the playground for our maths lesson and had a first go at measuring the perimeter of shapes using tape measures. First of all we work in pairs to draw a four sided shape on the ground with chalk. Then we worked out the perimeter by measuring all four sides with our tape measure. Next we swapped shapes and measured a different pair's shape to see whether we got the same answer for the perimeter.

The children all worked very well in their pairs by communicating well, supporting each other and co-operating as a team.

Our Vision:

Growing a community of life-long learners who will care for each other,
who will work hard to learn new things every day,
and who will achieve more than they thought possible.
